Anthony Darnell Liddell Shot and Killed Outside University Dorm

Anthony Darnell Liddell, 19, was shot outside his residence hall on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina and was pronounced dead at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center yesterday.

According to the university, around 7 p.m. there were approximately 4 or 5 shots outside the dorm where Liddell was struck. The teenager took two steps before collapsing against a vehicle, according to witnesses.

No information or description of the shooter, who is still at large, has surfaced as of yet. Police are still searching for clues for a motive. After the shooting the university sent out campus alerts of an active shooter via text message.
