Sheiresa McRae is the consumer affairs editor at BLACK ENTERPRISE magazine. She is responsible for developing, writing, and editing feature articles and special reports. She also directs the magazine’s Shopsmart department, a section focused on educating and empowering consumers to make the best buying decisions.
McRae began her career at BLACK ENTERPRISE in 2003 as a copy editor and fact checker and has written articles on small business, personal finance, and consumer issues. McRae is also the former copy editor for the magazine’s companion radio show, Black Enterprise Magazine's Keys to a Better Life, where she was responsible for researching and editing scripts.
Prior to joining BLACK ENTERPRISE, McRae served on the editorial staff of McGraw-Hill in the Education Group and the Professional Book Group. During her tenure, she edited business books and test preparation workbooks. She then worked at the American Bible Society in the Nida Institute for Biblical Scholarship. Her responsibilities included writing articles for the company's Website, assisting with the launch of an additional corporate Website, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all materials for publication.
McRae is a graduate of Fordham University, where she received both a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public communication.
