Sonya A. Donaldson

About Sonya Donaldson

Sonya Donaldson is Editor-at-Large, Technology for Black Enterprise magazine. She is responsible for the magazine’s technology coverage and writes a monthly column, Cyberwise. Donaldson has more than 18 years experience with newspapers, magazines, and online media, and previously served as Black Enterprise’s technology editor. In that role she was responsible for instituting tough testing standards for product evaluations and focused on productivity and cost-effective tech solutions for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Donaldson is a doctoral candidate in English Literature at the University of Virginia, where she teaches literature courses in the English department and the African American Studies program, as well as a popular first-year writing course, Technology and Identities. Donaldson also conducts seminars on social media for academics and journalists, and consults with entrepreneurs on technology implementation and use.
