Senior Vice President Government and Education Solutions, AT&T Business Solutions
Alex Parker leads more than 500 sales and technical professionals in delivering solutions to state, county, and city governments, as well as K-12 and higher education institutions.
Prior to assuming this role, Alex led a global team of more than 2,000 employees with diverse sales support responsibilities including executive deal negotiation, solution design, contracting, compensation strategy, and sales operations.
Prior to that role, Alex had P&L responsibility for a multi-billion-dollar business serving more than 3.5 million customers as VP and General Manager of Georgia and South Carolina. His team consisted of 1,300 employees in 90 Company-Owned Retail locations, 120 authorized dealer locations and more than 500 national retail locations. He oversaw capital investments, distribution strategy and local marketing.
Alex previously held a leadership role in London as Vice President of AT&T’s Global Service Management organization. He was responsible for the overall customer service experience across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Canada, Caribbean and Latin America (CCLA), and Asia Pacific (AP). While in this role, Alex expanded AT&T’s signature domestic philanthropic program, Aspire, to Europe. This expansion has resulted in thousands of employee volunteer hours dedicated to helping hundreds of high school students prepare for university and future careers.
Alex joined AT&T in 1993 after completing five summer internships with the company and has held various leadership positions in enterprise and retail sales, global operations, process management and billing.
Alex has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of International Business Degree from Saint Louis University.
He currently lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.
