UNKEMPT: Messy, dingy, or worn out attire is perhaps the most common fashion offense found in today’s workplace. Wearing clothes that are wrinkled, stained, or messy can leave employers thinking that you are careless and unorganized. Furthermore, not taking the time to neatly get dressed shows little regard or respect for the workplace. Employers can easily spot someone who just threw on anything and didn’t really care about how they looked when they came to work. Always be sure that your clothes are neatly ironed and stain free. Take the time to remove any lint, tuck in your shirt, mend hems and holes or just do away with over-worn clothes altogether.
