Get Hired!: 10 Reasons Your Job Resume Is Being Ignored

The Dissertation – There aren’t enough hours in a day for hiring managers to read every resume that comes across their desks. This is further complicated by those dreaded three-, four-, and five-page resumes. Generally speaking, your resume should never be longer than two pages. One page is actually preferred.

    This is a great qeiutson. Being a recent graduate myself, finding a job seems impossible. The biggest thing you can do is network, and social media allows for tons of networking opportunities. Each time I applied for a job (which I usually found on an online job search website) I would go to LinkedIn and try and connect with whoever was in charge at that particular company. This gives you two different outlets to apply, and an employer will likely remember your name if they see it twice. This will show you are interested, and it worked for me!

If you just want “wrote articles for major media oltteus ,” it should be a simple line item under your summary of experience.If you want to go all-out, created a header labeled “Publications.” Under it, create a format that goes something like this:”Title of my article.” _Newspaper name_ (online), Month day, year.
