Several options to take you from the office to happy hour with ease

Welcome to the Style Suite with Kéla Walker, your source for fashion and style trends for power plays in the workplace. Every Tuesday and Thursday, she’ll share tips and suggestions to help maximize your style on a budget. Whether you’re the style devil in Prada or the apprentice with limited apparel, you’ll find something in the Style Suite to suit your needs.

More often than not, I hear working women complain about the same thing over and over again when it comes to getting dressed for their profession: “What can I wear into the office from 9 to 5 that can also take me into after-work hours?  Looking for the perfect solution and wardrobe selection can be a little daunting, but it doesn’t have to be.

It’s always my suggestion that once the clock strikes 5, take things up a notch whether by adding a bold lip or stripping ways some of those professional layers you’ve piled on, such as a blazer, tights or anything else that’s too reserved or covered up.  To make matters just a little easier. I took the liberty of picking out a few dresses— a week’s worth— that can carry you form day to night with ease.

Whether you work in a cooperate environment or a relaxed setting and want something that will carry you to happy hour or that professionals mix-n-mingle event, there’s a dress on this list for you.  Even better than that, each and every dress is under $50. A dress that’s both professional and play and inexpensive? What more could you ask for?
