On the Move: UniWorld Group and Combs Enterprises Announce Promotions


UniWorld Group, Inc. (UWG) has announced several new executive promotions, indicating their efforts to continuously bring innovation and diversity to their agency.

In a news release, the multicultural marketing agency announced that Gregory Edwards will be the new SVP/director of client services and managing director of the Dearborn office. With 25 years of brand marketing experience, Edwards has developed advertising and marketing campaigns for several Fortune 500 companies including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Frito Lay and Quaker just to name a few. Before joining UWG, Edwards was senior vice president and account director for the Leo Burnett Group, where he provided research and insight on new clients while maintaining and growing business with the company’s current clients including Samsung, McDonald’s and Allstate.

In addition to adding Edwards to their executive roster, UWG also appointed Matilda Ivey to vice president and director of client services and new business and Melissa Davis to VP/director of digital strategy. Davis comes to the company with over 20 years of experience in the digital space as she has worked with a large portfolio of products and services in various organizations, from startups to expansions to mergers.

Nelson in a news release. “They come very experienced and highly skilled, with impressive results throughout their careers. Furthermore, they bring the right qualities and experiences to help strengthen and further the direction of UWG.”

In addition to newly appointed executives at UWG, Combs Enterprises has announced the promotion of Kenny Burns to senior vice president of brand development. In this role, Burns, who is often referred to as the “Lifestyle Specialist,” will be responsible for the development and marketing of the Revolt brand as well as Combs Wines and Spirits. He will report to Keith Clinkscales, CEO of Revolt Media, and Dia Simms, president of Combs Wines and Spirits.
