On Sept. 1, the 8th annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEAs) honored the who's who in African entertainment at New York University's Skirball Center for Performing Arts. The night brought together the best of the best in global talent and business.
The event was hosted by the hilarious comedian Bright ‘BasketMouth’ Okpocha, who kept the audience roaring with laughter. The more than 10-year industry vet has made more than a few celebrities let out a chuckle or two, including Boys 2 Men, Sean Paul, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, and Wyclef Jean.

On July 17, more than 400 attendees gathered to support the First Annual Black Ivy Alumni League fundraising gala in New York City. The gala was hosted with Columbia Business School's African-American Alumni Association, Black Alumni of Dartmouth Association, Cornell Black Alumni Association and the Association of Black Princeton Alumni, and honored industry leaders who hail from the nation's top schools. A portion of the proceeds from the event will fund New York City public school classroom projects.
