Princeton, Harvard, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, Yale, Columbia and UPenn all have the distinction of being named Ivy League institutions of higher education. Since February 1954 these eight universities have been heralded for their academic excellence and standout athletic achievements. Almost 60 years later, those institutions are still recognized as the most prestigious centers of higher learning nationwide. While the general train of thought would be that the Elite 8 would solely produce cerebral types, some of today’s most notable and creative African American celebrities have walked their hallowed halls as well. With the back to school season in full swing, BlackEnterprise.com highlights 10 celebrities you probably didn’t know attended an Ivy League school. —Amber McKynzie

This year I have the honor of attending the annual Black Enterprise Golf & Tennis Challenge on Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 1-5) in Miami. Now, all I have to do is figure out what to wear. The problem is I haven’t played golf in a decade, so for this edition of Suit Your Life, I enlisted the expertise of my golf fanatic friends (a.k.a the pros) to help me put together a stylish and functional golf wardrobe for my weekend under the Miami sun. As I hope for no rain (but am always "boy scout" prepared), here are some of my recommendations to be stylish on the links. See you in Miami. —Gardy V. Guerrier

Your stroke is just as important as the golf course you’re putting on. And for many novice and more seasoned players who want to get a hole in one, ambiance is everything. Golf is what draws golfers to the crème de la crème in courses stateside and abroad, but when they want to organize a family staycation, a getaway for two or fun business outing, it’s something a little more like the spa services or exclusive perks for being a luxury car driver that seal the deal. BlackEnterprise.com spoke to the founder and president of Golf Quests, Inc. Ty DeLavallade about today’s top golf resorts. See if your favorite made the list!

We’re already in mid-August and I just cannot figure out how this summer went by so fast. If you’re like me, you want to try to get as much out of these last few summer weeks as possible (officially, there’s only six left!!). This means attending every great to decent open air concert, BBQ, rooftop cocktail party, sailing excursion, pool party, beach day, and anything that sounds even remotely summer. In this installment of Suit Your Life, I’ll focus on those key summer items and garments I’ve used and plan to pull out again for every worthwhile activity we have left, including the Black Enterprise Golf & Tennis Challenge on Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 1-5) in Miami. It also doesn’t hurt that most stores are having their end of season sales so you’ll be able to rack up on most of these great items for up to 75% off. Thank me later. —Gardy V. Guerrier
