TWITTER: I know that this is probably an obvious one, but how do you really engage with Twitter? Do you use it as a personal tool to connect with others? Promote your business? Both? Do you need a personal and business account? I would say, it all depends. I have one account for me personally, which I also use professionally. When my new book, Chasing Youth Culture And Getting It Right, is published in April, I will be using another account for book tweets only. I want to make sure that those messages go to people who want data on youth marketing specifically. So the moral of this story is, know your target market. Your tweets will have a greater impact if you’re really focused on who you’re trying to reach.

It's a week before the Iowa Caucus (Jan. 3) and details are sorely missing from the proposed policies by the 2012 Republican presidential primary field. The GOP candidates are eager to point fingers at President Obama and what they view as his failures on the economic front. “When it comes to economic policy, there's a Chinese wall between President Obama’s economic policy proposals and those of the Republican candidate,” says Georgia Tech economist Thomas Boston. “The primary difference is that the president has proposed comprehensive economic policy, while no Republican candidate has.”
This is not to say that Obama has all of the answers, however.
“What's missing from the president's proposals are checks and balances to guarantee that the benefits of his proposals filter down to African-Americans,” Boston adds. “In the final analysis, there's no question that economic policies Obama proposes are better than those offered by Republican candidates. At the same time, there's significant room for improvement.” Here's a hard look at the candidates.—Joyce Jones

Urban and rural entrepreneurs can team up in “clusters” to win grant dollars through the Accelerator challenge for business ideas that will create jobs. Strong historical cash flows.

A banker will first look at your income statement and bottom line, add back a few things that are fairly essential to the cash flow analysis, such as depreciation, which is a non-cash expense. They’ll use the business’ interest expense to come up with just a rudimentary cash flow number. “That’s important because bankers just want to have an idea of your capacity to repay their loan,” says Dillon. “So, the basic equation in a bankers mind is, ‘this is how much it’s going to cost for them to repay my loan.’”

Over the years, in business, politics, entertainment and more, there have been sex scandals---those that come and go and those that take down the person or entity they're filed against. Whether true are not, all are painful to watch, and, one would imagine, painful to endure---especially for the women who choose to "stand by their man" through it all. In light of the recent sex scandals that have rocked the worlds of politicians like Herman Cain (pictured, left, with supporters along the campaign trail) and pastors like Bishop Eddie Long, we rounded up a few of the wives who made the decision through uncomfortable press conferences, embarrassing court cases and shocking announcements to stay and be...The Good Wife.---Elayne Fluker

The First Amendment allows American citizens the freedom of speech and the right to peaceably assemble. This portion of the Bill of Rights has been the cornerstone of Occupy Wall Street, which started two months ago when swarms of concerned people took over Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park to protest the drastic inequalities between the rich and poor.

The movement has since spread to similar occupations around the country and globe, resulting in civil unrest that some government officials are not too fond of. Despite the occupiers' right to assemble, law enforcement officials have begun unearthing rarely used legal loopholes to evict protesters. Most recently, Zuccotti Park was temporarily cleared out during a late night raid to clean up the grounds. Although protesters were allowed to return, they were unable to bring along tents and sleeping bags due to city ordinances. AlterNet compiled 12 of the most absurd laws used to stop the Occupy Wall Street movement.
