Common to Host Spike TV’s Furniture Design Series, “Framework”

Spike TV will be launching a new original non-scripted series named  “Framework,” which will be the first-ever furniture design competition series. Hip-Hop artist, actor, and author, Common, will be hosting the reality show.

“Framework” will showcase the nation’s best emerging furniture designers as they compete for a $100,000 cash prize and the opportunity for their work to be sold by a major manufacturer. The show is premiering Tuesday, January 6 at 10:00 PM, ET/PT on Spike TV.

The show will take place over the course of ten weeks as 13 innovative and inspiring builders will put their artistry and skill to the test in a series of challenges. The builders will use unconventional materials, rethink classic furniture pieces, and incorporate a variety of techniques and disciplines to demonstrate their mastery of furniture creation.

A contestant will be eliminated in each episode by Common and two of the most influential names in the furniture world today; Nolen Niu and Brandon Gore.
