Women of Power Day Two: Professionals Start Day with Fitness and Empowerment

Professionals have full day of enriching seminars in store

Day two is well under way for the Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit, sponsored by State Farm. After an amazing night of honoring exemplary leaders Cicely Tyson, Valerie Daniels-Carter, Myrlie Evers Williams, Julieanna Richardson, and Marian Wright Edelman, attendees started their day early with “Rise & Shine” activities, participating in African dance with live drummers (hosted by PepsiCo) and networking via a power walk (hosted by State Farm.)

After enriching fitness activities, attendees networked further over breakfast and awaited the start of a special one-on-one session with Myrlie Evers Williams, where she will inspire women with her story of triumph, activism and advocacy for civil and women’s rights. Her legacy of surviving tragedy, staking her claim on Corporate America and etching a path for women today to carry the torch sheds light on the greatness and power of women all over the world.
