What is the Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference?
The Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference is a three-day business event tailored to both established business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.

How many people attended the conference last year?
There were more than 1,200 attendees at last year’s conference.

What is the appropriate attire for the event?
Business attire is the appropriate dress for Entrepreneurs Conference events. The attire for the opening reception is resort casual and there is usually a formal or semi-formal dinner as well.

Will conference participants be given a list of attendees?
We only provide an Expo Hall exhibitors list in the journal.

How do I get a subscription or renew my subscription to Black Enterprise magazine?
To renew your subscription or subscribe to BLACK ENTERPRISE, call our circulation department at (800) 727-7777.

What are the elements of the conference?
The conference features intensive sessions, hands-on instruction, networking receptions, an awards luncheon and dinner, and a business-to-business expo.

Do you have any sessions for women entrepreneurs?
Yes our SistersInc. session is geared specifically toward women.

Are there any evening events?
Yes. The conference opens with a welcome reception on Sunday, May 22, and culminates with an awards dinner on Tuesday, May 24.

Can I sit with my party at the awards luncheon?
Yes, if you arrive together. However, attendees are seated randomly on a first-come, first-seated basis.

How much is the registration fee?
Early-Bird (Dec. 1–Mar. 15)                           $295

Are there any incentives for group registration?
Yes. The group registration fee (three or more people) is $50 off the prevailing rate per person. All reservations must be made at the same time with the same form of payment.

Can I register on-site?
Yes. However, space is limited and you will be charged the late registration fee ($695). So it is recommended that you register before April 23.

Does my registration fee include hotel accommodations?
No. The registration fee includes an attendee bag, an event journal, conference sessions, continental breakfast, networking receptions, and the awards luncheon and dinner.

For hotel accommodations please contact the Atlanta Marriott Marquis at 800-228-9290 or 404-521-0000. BLACK ENTERPRISE has negotiated a special rate of $159+/night. (Applicable state and local taxes of 15% will apply.)

Can registered participants attend all conference sessions and events?
Registered participants as designated by registrant badges will have open access to everything, as listed in the conference journal.

Can I purchase single tickets for individual events?
Single tickets are available only for the awards dinner. The cost is $250 per person. Tables (seating for 10) are $2,000 each.

Are meals included in the registration package?
Yes. A continental breakfast will be served on Monday and Tuesday, the awards luncheon is on Monday and an awards dinner on Tuesday.

What if I have to cancel?
BLACK ENTERPRISE will refund your registration fee (minus a $75 processing fee) if the cancellation is received in writing by April 22, 2011. All cancellation requests must be submitted by the original registrants.

If I have already registered but cannot attend, can I send someone else in my place?
BLACK ENTERPRISE will accept a name change if the request is received in writing by April 29, 2011. All name change requests must be submitted by the original registrant.

I’m interested in being a speaker at the conference. Have speakers been selected yet?
Speakers are still being accepted for review. Click here to fill out the speaker application form or send your inquiry, along with your press kit, to Black Enterprise Events Department, 260 Madison Avenue, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10016.

Will there be an expo this year?
Yes. The Expo Hall will be open Monday, May 23, 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm and Tuesday, May 24, 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm. Expo set-up is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Expo break down is Tuesday, May 24, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Will conference attendees get a list of Expo Hall exhibitors?
Yes. The conference journal will contain a list of Expo Hall exhibitors that will include the exhibitor’s name, company, city and state of residence.

What is the Teenpreneurs Conference?
Teenpreneurs Conference is a fun-filled business program designed for youth ages 13 to 17.

Are there specific age requirements for the program?
Teenpreneurs Conference registrants are divided into two levels of instruction:
Future CEOs (ages 13-15)
Junior Executives (ages 16-17)

What is the registration fee for the Teenpreneurs Conference?
The Teenpreneurs Conference registration fee is $175. At least one parent or guardian must be registered for the Entrepreneurs Conference in order for the child to participate in the Teenpreneurs Conference.
