Foursquare for Business Gives Small Business Owners Their Own App

Foursquare today released a new app, which is only the second in their company’s history. The app is intended to help business owners quickly update their customers about new products, deals or other news.

Foursquare for Business, available for Android and iPhones, was made for busy entrepreneurs who need an easy way to share news, update content and connect with customers. Using this app, a business owner on the go can create an update that will be shared immediately to Twitter, Facebook and the Foursquare platform. Foursquare says that the new app is designed to offer busy managers a way to keep up with Foursquare without being tied to a computer in an office or back room.

Owners can check business date, recent check-ins and view returning customers. The app also has the ability to turn on or off specials and deals. The amount of data made available to managers via this app is very detailed. Tapping a visitor profile, shows the visitor’s profile photo and the number of times he or she has visited your place. There’s also a separate “analytics” tab which displays the top recent visitors, together with the total number of check-ins and likes.

To get started, business owners will need to claim their location on Foursquare via business.foursquare.com or download the app via iTunes or Google Play
