Gabrielle Jordan Sets the Bar High In Business

What is happening with your latest initiative, Gibstr?

I am excited about this new endeavor. I’ve partnered with former kid entrepreneur, Hezehkiah Griggs III. The mission is to create high-quality content that engages the mind, interests, and curiosity of today’s teenage consumer. We are providing information on fashion, business, tech and other teen interests–all provided by teens for teens. Through this online platform, Gibstr will serve as a hub for millions of teens around the world.

How do you balance it all? School, business, family, etc.

When it comes to balance, it’s all about having a schedule. With everything that I’m doing, it’s so easy to become overwhelmed. So I have to make sure that I have a schedule, a list that I follow every day to make sure that everything is in order. I make sure that I take time with my family every day because being with my family allows me to feel calm and happy. I make sure to have fun as much as I can, but get focused when it’s time to work.

Who is your greatest source of inspiration and why?

I don’t have one greatest source of inspiration. My inspiration to keep going comes from the people I inspire. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, knowing that what I’m doing is touching other people’s lives makes me want to work even harder.

What is your message to those who are thinking about starting a business in their early teens?

Being an entrepreneur, in its entirety, is a great learning experience. It teaches you how to have endurance, confidence, passion, and more. It also teaches you important life skills that you don’t usually learn in school. Most importantly, entrepreneurship gives you the opportunity to develop a strong mindset. The mindset of an entrepreneur is a mindset for success.
