GM Buys Tech Center Bringing 1000 New Jobs to Atlanta


General Motors Co. purchased a building in Atlanta that will become a company technology center employing 1000 people, the Atlanta Daily World reports.

The automaker paid $18.5 million for the 230,000 square foot building which will be converted into a software development center.

Detroit-based GM plans to hire 10,000 computer workers at four new technology centers across the United States.
