Since 1980, the Leadership Education And Development Program in Business (LEAD) has partnered tipsiness and academia to encourage top-notch minority high school students to pursue a career in business. To qualify, minority high school juniors must have:
- A combined score of at least 100 on the PSAT or 1,000 on the SAT.
- A high school academic average of “B” or better.
- Leadership ability and active involvement in their schools or communities.
Students who are selected are sent to a Summer Business Institute at a participating business school. A lifelong network develops as the students are provided with corporate internships throughout college and permanent career opportunities later.
