Soledad O’Brien, 45 As CNN anchor and special correspondent, O’Brien has reported on pivotal historic moments across the globe. She’s the woman at the helm of highly-distinguished documentaries, such as Almighty Debt, Don’t Fail Me: Education in America, Rescued, Latino in America and Black in America. The award-winning journalist-turned-author released The Next Big Story: My Journey Through the Land of Possibilities, her account of growing up in Long Island to immigrant parents and overcoming adversity to become successful in her career, in 2010. The mother of four is of black, Irish, Scottish and Cuban descent.
