For the Heat in Cleveland, it’s Thanksgiving at the James Household

He’s shooting over 60 percent from the floor, about 50 percent from beyond the arc, and is making 80 percent of his free throws. Yes, LeBron James is doing it all for his team, which finds itself on Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. tilt against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Should it come as any surprise that the team will board a bus to James’ sprawling estate just outside of Akron, Ohio for ? No. And James is doing just that for his teammates who will be away from home on Thanksgiving.

“We would have loved to have been here for the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas being here in Miami,” James said, according to the AP. “We don’t mind playing on those holidays. Wish we could have been here, but I am happy that I’m able to do something for the team for Thanksgiving.”

Dwyane Wade said he’s looking forward to the occasion — and perhaps he’ll wear some of his signature socks.

“We’re not at home with our families for Thanksgiving but it couldn’t work out any better that at least we could be in someone else’s home,” Miami’s Dwyane Wade said. “And it’s a very nice home that we’re going to, so I’ll make sure I’ll put on the right clothes and the right socks, gotta-take-your-shoes-off-at-the-door type of house.”

The AP says that the cooking duties will fall to LeBron’s wife, Savannah, and his personal chef.

“I’m a great host,” James said. “It’s natural for me. I don’t mind giving guys what they want – what they deserve.”
