The Nielsen Company reported that 45.7 million people watched parts of the 2014 NFL Draft, according to Forbes. That’s a new record, topping the¬†45.4 million set in 2010.
The NFL Draft was shown on the NFL Network, ESPN, and ESPN2. The figures were for the three days the draft took place from May 8 to May 10.
Social media also recorded great numbers pertaining to the draft. There were more than 9.6 million tweets about the 2014 NFL Draft, up 211% from 2013.¬† According to Nielsen Social Guide, an average of 10 million people per day saw tweets about the 2014 NFL Draft.
