Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant, L.A. Clippers’ Blake Griffin, and the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony are the top NBA players right now, according to ComplexMedia. In preparation for the tip of the 2014-15 NBA season two weeks ago, Business Insider has published a list of the league’s 25 best players.

What a difference less than a year makes. In a matter of months, players can shoot up “best player” lists or fall off of them completely because of poor play (or in some cases, injuries). Back in February, Complex first put together a list of the 25 best players in the NBA at the time. But looking at the list today, there are players on it who no longer rank as the best, while others have moved up the list and deserve to be ranked even higher—like Anthony Davis, who was ranked No. 11 at the time compared with now, holding at the No. 6 spot.

It leads to endless debate among NBA fans and makes it important for people to stay up on what’s going on within the league at all times, reports the Insider.
