Perhaps the most serious consequence of the change in admissions policies is the loss of racial and ethnic diversity on college campuses. While it is difficult to quantify the spillover benefits of the interaction–both inside and outside of the classroom–between students from a variety of different backgrounds, most educators agree that diversity enhances the educational experiences of all students.
