If you need a new telecommunications carrier, Decide.com can hook you up. The site (www.decide.com), launched last September, analyzes a user’s telephone habits and calling area to select the most cost-effective long-distance service or cellular phone provider. “Consumers can [also] purchase calling cards and estimate their monthly bills,” points out Himanshu Choksi, the firm’s vice president of marketing. What’s more, Decide.com allows users to preview the sound quality of various metropolitan-based cellular phone services throughout the U.S. According to Choksi, “There are lots of choices, but we bring order to the chaos by providing information, tools and guidance.”
The telecommunications analysis is free to the consumer. And unless you want automatic updates, you aren’t even required to register with the site.
