30 Resolve consumer problems Speak up! I can’t hear you. That’s what retailers all over the world are saying to black consumers who are dissatisfied with a product or service and do nothing about it. By informing the company of your dissatisfaction, say an unpleasant experience at a restaurant, you should expect an expeditious resolution. To get one, write a letter and include:
- Copies of receipts, warranties, and contracts
- The date, time, and location of the incident
- When you expect to hear from the company
If you don’t get a satisfactory response, take it to a higher authority; write your state’s attorney general and spread the word about your dissatisfaction so other consumers are informed.
