According to a survey, couples spent an average of $28,427 on weddings and wedding-related activities in 2012, CNN Money reports.
The figure, which was calculated by theknot.com, was based on responses from 17,500 couples. It’s the highest figure since 2008, when costs averaged $29,334.
They found that “couples increased spending in nearly all categories, from the photographer and wedding DJ to flowers and invites,” despite the struggling economy.
