Would You Use a Coupon on a Date?

One of my colleagues brought up the topic of couponing and how an increasing number of consumers are joining the movement. Then I began to think to myself: Is there coupon etiquette? Are there times when you should and shouldn’t use a coupon? What about a date? If your honey pulls out a coupon book on your first date, does that demonstrate financial savvy or is it just plain tacky? I’ll admit that if my husband whipped out a coupon on our first date or insisted that we only go to restaurants that he had a coupon for, I doubt there would have been a second date. Personally, it would make me feel like he didn’t think I was worth the money. That first impression counts.
