President’s Weekly Address: Obama Urges Prompt Passage of Economic Plan

paid out nearly $20 billion in bonuses for 2008. While I’m committed to doing what it takes to maintain the flow of credit, the American people will not excuse or tolerate such arrogance and greed. The road to recovery demands that we all act responsibly, from Main Street to Washington to Wall Street.

Soon my Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner, will announce a new strategy for reviving our financial system that gets credit flowing to businesses and families. We’ll help lower mortgage costs and extend loans to small businesses so they can create jobs. We’ll ensure that CEOs are not draining funds that should be advancing our recovery. And we will insist on unprecedented transparency, rigorous oversight, and clear accountability — so taxpayers know how their money is being spent and whether it is achieving results.

Rarely in history has our country faced economic problems as devastating as this crisis. But the strength of the American people compels us to come together. The road ahead will be long, but I promise you that every day that I go to work in the Oval Office I carry with me your stories, and my administration is dedicated to alleviating your struggles and advancing your dreams. You are calling for action. Now is the time for those of us in Washington to live up to our responsibilities.

    Dear President Obama,
Your political campaign and subsequent election as our nation’s 44th President has caused me to do a lot of things differently! I supported you financially and even went to your Inauguration! It was awesome. But, a few days before, I became the (victim) of a RIF (reduction in workforce) as did several others. I worked for Oracle Corporation (as a Senior Customer Relations Sales Consultant)….but now I am part of the millions of unemployed. Yes, it’s scary, but I believe in God and I also believe in you! I KNOW you have the best and the brightest available to work with you as your cabinet members…So I urge you Barack, and your team to please help get us back to work! You and your family are always in my prayers…. Gailmarie

The economy has to ride it out and stop worrying about financing from banks and the federal reserve. The federal reserve is putting itself out of business. Let them fail. The power elite needs to go homeless. The United States needs a new dollar that doesn’t say federal reserve note.

Let the Federal Reserve system eat their own mistakes. Make the Federal Reserve illegal. They are ruining their own good thing(Killing the golden goose) The taxpayer. Give them all the debt they created and start with The American Citizen Dollar.

Stop allowing the Banks to run the government. 99 years is enough. The people must build their lives around their families not support the the greedy NWO aristocracy puppeteers who pull the strings of the Failed Federal System. If we can not afford to buy something don’t buy it!
