School Is in Session for Obama

An elementary school in Long Island, New York, has been renamed in honor of President-elect Barack Obama.

The former Ludlum Elementary School, in the Hempstead Union Free School District, was renamed last night, effective immediately. It is now the Barack Obama Elementary School.

School staff and students initiated the request to rename the school, said Superintendent Joseph Laria.
