Fraternity Under Fire for Racist Pledging Incident

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Washington University has been suspended from campus due to a pledging prank that went awry.

The prank involved one of the pledges reciting a rap song by Dr. Dre like slam poetry to a group of African American students. The song contained racial slurs that enraged the students.

The pledges also took a photo of the students as part of an alleged “scavenger hunt.” Once the administration caught wind of the incident the fraternity was suspended from campus. Some students even expressed their disbelief on the Facebook page for the Washington University Class of 2015. The President of the fraternity responded and issued an apology.
