‘Empire’ and American Black Film Festival Take Over Brooklyn

Last night, the season finale of Empire drew watch parties across the nation gathered in living rooms and restaurants eager to see the drama of the Lyon family. The American Black Film Festival hosted its own Empire Finale Watch Party at Brooklyn’s Bedford Hall to promote the upcoming American Black Film Festival, June 11-14, in New York, where Empire lead Taraji P. Henson will serve as the festival’s celebrity ambassador.

The hottest and highest rated show on TV was the second to garner an ABFF watch party. February’s season premiere of BET’s Being Mary Jane drew a packed room for a private networking event and screening to watch the drama of ABFF alum and TV star Gabrielle Union.

With watch parties scheduled monthly to promote the festival, those interested in attending ABFF are encouraged to register while space lasts at ABFF.com.
