Social media is great, however…do you think it EVER totally replace face to face networking opportunities!?? As the NetworkingDiva…I think not!
Hey, Monica! As I emphasized during my video webinar, effective social media is not about replacing face-to-face networking opportunities, but ENHANCING personal interactions, in order to achieve better results and more productivity for everyone in your network. I shared some examples in this post I wrote for OPEN Forum a couple of years ago, “Using Social Media to Make The Most of Business Networking Events”: https://www.openforum.com/articles/using-social-media-to-make-the-most-of-business-networking-events/
This was well worth the wait! Again, this course contained valuable info. I will revisit my use of social media and focus on one or two for now. Thanks for this opportunity to gain more knowledge!
Where do I leave a question for the Expert? I’ve tried to find this info for the last three Thursdays! Thanks!
I have been unable to access that feature as well.
Yes…this was worth the wait.
I want to introduce black youths to the manufacturing industry where the number of black producers is minimal. Most of the info I see on the web is contradictory to what youths need to know. The problem I find is how to comment especially on black news sites when I’m walking nearly alone against the wind.
Thanks Mr. Edmond
This video was very informative and helped me understand the vaule of social media and not become overwhelmed by participating in the process. This video is complimented by the tip entitled 7 Simple Ways to get Your Business Ready for Publicity.
I have been unable to leave a question for the Expert’s also. It says there are no questions available. I’ve sent an email in, but still have not received a reply (about points & problems.)…good informative video.
Thanks for the insight
So i have to make a plan and stick to it. I am inconsistent that That’s an issue! Especially with the blog and twitter, that should help build relationships.
Hi Mr Edmond,
I’m not able to view your Oct 30th video. Am I the only one having this issue?
The last set of videos were posted after their scheduled launch dates. Not sure what the problem is but participants have been largely in the dark about the tech issues including the ability the access the “ask the expert” feature.
Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback, as well as for calling out some of the ways we need to improve your Small Biz U experience. There have been glitches in both timing of posting of the videos as compared to the schedule as well as the Expert Q&A function of the site. We have worked to resolve them with mixed results, but hope to do a better job with the next round of classes (to be announced for next “semester”). In the meantime, if you leave questions here in the comment sections of these and other videos, I will do my best to post answers for you. Black Enterprise and AARP, and I personally, congratulate you on the time and attention you’ve invested in SBU and wish you nothing but success with your entrepreneurial efforts!
Thank you for your comments and the opportunity to take the courses offered. I did want to know when will the last course be posted. I’m finding that I am spending a lot of time coming to the site trying to complete the last course. I’m also in expectation for the rewards too!! I will also look forward to participating in the next round of classes during the next semester.
Thank you Alfred. Do you know when the last video will be posted? Also is there a public list of the weekly winners?
I thought it was a cool marketing strategy to get us to keep coming back to the site. At any rate, I can’t wait for the do’s and don’ts on using social media. I don’t feel confident with my current strategy.
Greetings! When will the last course be posted? Have winners been notified yet? Thanks!
OUTSTANDING! You have provided so much information in such a short time. I feel much more confident moving forward.
