In 2005, Taylor was awarded San Francisco’s prestigious Gen Art Fashion Talent Award and mentioned in the San Francisco Chronicle. He won the award for his t-shirt line capsule collection that was designed, fabricated and delivered within 30 days. This catapulted the launch of his design and engineering career as he went on to work, create & design products for notables that include various professional athletes. His first design job out of AAU was with GRAMMY® Award-winning artists, OUTKAST. By 2003, Sam had worked with D.E.M.O. (Pac Sun) as a Design Director/Buyer and eventually moved on to work for major brands including
Levi’s and Old Navy. Sam’s first successful entrepreneur brand creation was TESH (The Evolution Starts Here), followed by his latest installment, SILENT PANDA. Fall 2017, Taylor joined the teaching staff at Academy of Art University (AAU) in San Francisco as a guest product development and entrepreneurship instructor. He will house select SILENT PANDA items that will be featured on campus inside the school’s SHOP657 – a specialty boutique store. Samuel will introduce an exclusive capsule collection online during the 2017 holiday season.
