In April 2009, Obama named Aneesh Chopra as the first U.S. chief technology officer. As the face of the president’s tech policy, Chopra’s job is to ensure the newest technologies and latest advances are employed to make the federal government work better for the American people.

The app is a political organizing tool supporters can use to sign up for campaign events, donate money and learn more about voting in their respective districts.

Not even a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTkUeb6zQFA" target="_blank">saxophone-playing Bill Clinton</a> can rival that.

: America Online President Obama wants all Americans to be connected. The Obama administration understands the importance digital technology plays in further advancing America into the 21st century. Although bringing broadband to “every community” in the country is still very much a work in progress, strides have been made. Through his Wireless Innovation and Infrastructure Initiative, Obama plans to nearly double the wireless spectrum available for mobile broadband and provide 98 % of Americans with access to 4G high-speed wireless access.
