Yesterday made one year since Trayvon Martin was taken from this earth. He was only a young man. Gunned down because of the neighborhood he was in, and what he was wearing; a hoodie that made him a target. For the anniversary of his death his parents attended the Million Hoodies Rally hosted in New York City at Union Square.
His mother Tracy Martin declared it ‘Hoods Up Day’ as she addressed the crowd. Also in attendance was Sybrina Fulton from the NAACP and Jamie Foxx. Both spoke of their dedication to making it right for young men and women who may be struck down before their time. Justice for Trayvon, and justice for all.
