This week on The Urban Business Roundtable, UBR Contributor Angelique Westerfield speaks with Mays Chemical Founder and CEO Bill Mays, named one of 40 “Titans: The Most Powerful African Americans in Business–and How They Shaped Our World” in the 40th Anniversary Issue of Black Enterprise. Mays Chemical, a BE 100s company and one of the largest chemical distribution firms in the nation, was launched with $10,000 in savings and a $50,000 loan. Today, the Indianapolis-based company, with 2009 revenues of $183 million, has customers in 14 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
