Greetings! My name is Jovanie Smith and I’m currently an undergraduate Computer Science major in the Honors College at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I’ve always had a love for technology, but my love for it peeked when I took an Introduction to Programming summer course at my local library. Learning simple HTML and CSS to make my own web page grew my interest even further. This pushed me to participate in the Comcast Digital Connectors Program in high school was truly beneficial to my understanding of digital literacy and how to use my technological skills to give back to my community. Being able to engage with the technological gap of the population, younger and older generations, allowed me to teach and work with individuals one on one to understand how to utilize modern day tools such as smartphones, computers, and tablets. My app development experience has stemmed from various internships. Most impactful experience, working with GE Digital in the Software Engineering Apprenticeship Program. This experience built a foundation of focus and understanding of JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular 2, HTML, and CSS for successful iOS mobile development and web development.

My name is Tyler Henderson and I am a Junior Computer Science major at Southern University and A&M college from Dallas, Texas. I have had a strong interest in technology since I was in middle school. Every time I played my game or used the computer I wondered how it worked. In high school I got interested in the software side of technology and decided that is what I wanted to study in college. This past summer I had an internship with GE Digital and gained experience working on web apps using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.

My name is Aaron Ehrman I’m a 21-year-old Computer Science from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My experience with computers goes back well before I was born. My father has a degree in computer technologies and my sister has a degree in computer networking so my life’s path was almost set in stone. My first time working with web development was when I was eleven using HTML to create profiles for my friends on Myspace and since then I’ve loved working with code. In my time as a coder I’ve created websites, mobile apps, and I’m currently working on two other personal projects a music app and a search engine. My goal after graduation is to find a job that will allow me to build more software and learn more along the way.
