Paula Deen Admits to Using ‘N-Word’, Wanted Blacks to Dress as Slaves at Wedding

Paula Deen is known for her southern cooking and big personality. A personality that may have gotten her into some trouble recently.

Deen recently became involved in a lawsuit with the former general manager of her Georgia restaurant, Lisa Jackson. Jackson claims Deen used the n-word repeatedly and that she was sexually harassed by Deen’s brother, Bubba.

In her deposition for the suit, Deen admits to using the n-word and telling racist jokes. She also admits to requesting black men and women to dress up as slaves for a wedding she was planning; an idea she got from a restaurant she dined at with her husband.

“I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America…after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War…It was not only black men, it was black women…I would say they were slaves.”
