Rachelle Franklin

CEO, Frontline Marketing & Promotions

Rachelle Franklin is a seasoned marketing executive, with a proven track
record of leading and executing global brand strategy, advertising, and
integrated marketing programs, excelling at both the art and the science of
marketing.  The more complex, ambiguous, and misdirected a situation is, the
higher the probability that Rachelle will bring the necessary clarity to it,
chart a trajectory of success and move business forward.  As CEO, Frontline
Marketing and promotions, she brings that expertise to Fortune 500 clients
who are leaders in their industry such as: ADT, Amazon, AutoNation, Martell
Cognac, Pantene, Plantronics, Seagram’s, Sony Music Entertainment, Staples,
Microsoft and Walmart.

Rachelle navigated her early career, in the not so attractive technology
industry, as a “change agent” challenged to bring marketing expertise and
consumer centricity to a traditionally engineering and manufacturing focused
company.  She joined Motorola as a “fresh-out” and ultimately ascended to
Vice President of Corporate Brand Communications.  Motorola’s commitment to
creating markets fueled Rachelle’s intrapreneurial spirit and became part of
her DNA.  Rachelle pioneered many marketing firsts as Motorola reentered the
consumer market in the cellular, paging and two-way industries, leaving a
legacy of positioning Motorola as one of the most powerful consumer
technology brands in the world. She was then tapped to join Office Depot as
Vice President, Integrated Brand Marketing where she executed
business-driving marketing programs, which propelled the big-box retailer to
its first positive comparative sales quarter in over four years and
established a foundation of programs for continued positive results.
Rachelle was then persuaded to go back to her technology roots as Senior
Vice President, Corporate Brand Marketing for Cable and Wireless’ Caribbean
Region.  There, she took on the task of developing a business blueprint and
building regional marketing organization that would allow the company to
successfully compete in a fully liberalized telecommunications market after
being the incumbent monopoly for 130 years.  Rachelle most recently served
in a corporate role as Vice-President of Marketing for Liberty Power, one of
the fastest growing independent and the only minority-owned retail electric
providers in the U.S. During her tenure, Rachelle led a multi- market
expansion, broadened product portfolio and targeted marketing plan that put
Liberty on path to realizing its $1B revenue goal. Always an aspiring
entrepreneur, Rachelle “off ramped” and founded Mosaic Marketing Consulting,
bringing her expertise and skills to a diverse client base.  She then joined
Sincere Thompson, Founder of Frontline Marketing and Promotions as company
CEO.

Intelligence Everywhere, the $300M global campaign Rachelle led and launched
at Motorola in the early 2000s, set out a vision for leading what we know
now as the Internet of Things.  Currently she works with Fortune 500 clients
that are making that vision a reality.  However, her real passion is to
ensure that women and minority enterprises fully participate in this
Innovation Economy.  Building on years of business experience and
mentorship, she is currently an advisor to two minority led, young
enterprises, based in Silicon Valley.  She also serves as a mentor board
member for Florida Atlantic University’s tech incubator, Tech Runway and
previously was a team mentor for The University of Florida’s Startup Quest
Program.

Mrs. Franklin holds a BBA in Marketing and Management from Loyola University
and a MBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin. She serves on
the board of the National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, NY, is an
advisory board member to a number of organizations and actively mentors
marketing professionals. A native of New Orleans, she has lived in Boca
Raton, Florida for over 25 years with her husband Patrick, President and CEO
of the Urban League of Palm Beach County, and is the mother of three
children, Morgan, 25, Lena, 23 and Miles, 17.
