The New York Post has published a second report about the end of Beyoncé and Jay Z’s marriage.
Supported entirely by a “mysterious source” who is close to the situation, the Page Six report hints that the dynamic duo of Hip-Hop didn’t get married because of love —but out of pure business. As the most powerful couple in music, Bey and Jay have the world on a string. A concurrent run of successful tours have made them bank, but behind closed doors their marriage is being scrutinized and picked apart.
The New York Post and their claims have only stoked a fire that claims to engulf the “Crazy In Love” stars in a blaze of glory. Plagued by rumors of divorce, infidelity, disappointment and, of course, a sex tape— the kings, Jay Z and Beyoncé, are mum and extremely private since paparazzi have sniffed blood in the water.
With a combined $100 million on the table awaiting them from the “On the Run” concert, the billionaire husband-and-wife seem to be staying together for the dollar, at least until the tour is over. Such hype cannot be overlooked, so we are breaking down 10 reasons why Beyoncé and Jay Z are heading to divorce court (although we’d rather they not).
Beysus’s Not That Into Hov
As reported by the Page Six article, Jay Z knew from first sight just what an opportunity it would be to love and be married to the new Queen of Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B (sorry Mary!). On the opposite side of that coin, though, Beyoncé wasn’t all that taken by Jay’s Marcy roots and Brooklyn attitude. It was said that the Queen of the Beyhive only wanted to learn from Hov’s mind, yet had to accept his body as a part of the deal.
With her lust in check for the Brooklyn bad guy turned good, there isn’t anything keeping Beyoncé from signing those divorce papers and finding a hunk that she can call her own.
All Business, Little Love
Forbes has listed the duo as being worth a cool billion dollars, as a married couple. With money as the main reason these two are together, it may make them both reconsider going to see Judge Lynn Toler. If Beyoncé or Jay Z do decide to pull the trigger, it will be because the two have better business opportunities separately than as husband and wife.
“They know they’re the king and queen of hip-hop – and really, all of music,” says the mysterious source. “Business is always part of the equation. Neither wants to lose that.” With all that money as the motive to stay in love, Beyoncé has the greater options to rectify her global brand as a single woman than an unhappy wife and mother.
Playing Happy Beguiles Broken Home
Everyone saw Solange Knowles get her Chun-Li on as she aggressively attacked Jay Z in a hotel elevator after the Met Gala, which exposed a hefty crack in Bey Z’s tightly controlled image. While they’ve been showing images from their wedding, kissing on stage, and essentially played happy married family on Instagram, the source tells Page Six that Jay and Bey are permanently broken – placing both at fault.

Since hooking up with the former Destiny’s Child, Jay Z has had to dodge rumors of infidelity. From the cause of the Met Gala / Elevator Brouhaha (Rachel Roy) to gossip-mongerers saying that he slept with artists Rita Ora and Mya, Hov hasn’t had much luck in keeping his private life just that.

According to MediaTakeOut, the website has “got word that a sex tape is being sold,” which stars Brooklyn’s native son and Nas’s baby mama, Carmen Bryan. Without claiming validity of the rumor, the news can’t possibly make Beyoncé (who has a reputable image to uphold) happy. The sex tape dates prior to the couple’s marriage, but with this news trending, it is said that the thought of a tape’s existence is causing more problems.
In Touch magazine printed in their August 4 edition of “Celebrity Dirty Laundry,” that Beyoncé is “beyond furious” over the rumor, which means that she could be piling up reasons why she will file for irreconcilable differences.
No Rings, No Tats, No Future
In the same Page Six article, the mysterious source claims that the “IV” tattoo on Beyoncé’s ring finger, which stands for her and Jay’s birthday and wedding date, has been erased. While one would have to be standing within centimeters of the bombshell performer to know if that is true or not, if there is a fracture in the relationship that is the most telling part of where Beyoncé and Jay are headed in their marriage.
On the Run… From Each Other
The $100 million grossing tour finds Jay Z and Beyoncé hitting the country together. With the gossip-mongerers claiming that the “only time the two are really together is on stage,” the Bonnie and Clyde of Music are rumored to be traveling with marriage counselors.
Instead of spending time repairing whatever’s damaged, Page Six says Jay is allegedly spending more time on the phone, tending to his multiple businesses. “His phone is constantly ringing,” says the source, “Jay trying to make deal after deal.” Beyonce can only take so much ignoring for so long and when she gives up, the world will ultimately know what happened.
Blue Ivy Can’t Rekindle Fire
The birth of Blue Ivy was a happy day for fans of the celebrity duo, but stemmed from the need to rekindle their marriage, according to the NY Post. With Beyoncé and Jay’s image jointly tied, the former has been trailed by her own personal camera crew since 2005. Do these secret tapes held in an NBC library hold the truth to why Bey Z’s relationship is crumbling?

The last piece de resistance in the New York Post‘s Page Six piece was their mysterious source claiming the duo had “guilty pleasures”. As Jay’s kingmaker status interested Beyoncé, her husband’s infidelity didn’t do much to sway her from marriage since she was dating others, according to the Page Six source.
“This was mostly about business. They each had guilty pleasures,” the source admits. Even though “she did really fall for Jay Z,” with all these new revelations coming out, it seems that enough is enough for the crowned crooner.
