Comcast Program Offers Low-Income Black Residents Internet Access

More low-income families in South Florida are gaining Internet access thanks to a program offered by Comcast called “Internet Essentials.”

Now in its second year, the

program has offered 12,000 families Internet access at a discounted price of $9.95 a month. To qualify, a family must have at least one child eligible to receive free or reduced school lunch under the National School Lunch Program
