Male Nurses Earn More than Female Nurses

Even though women have historically dominated the field, male nurses make more money than female nurses, according to a new Census report, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Men made up 10% of all registered nurses in 2011, up from less than 3% in 1970 and about 8% in 2000.

But the average female nurse earned $51,100 in 2011, while the average man earned $60,700 for the same job.
