Attention app developers: Apple announced its 26th annual Worldwide Developers Conference will be held June 8-12 at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco.

The event – which promises to share a few new details about the “the future of iOS and OS X†– will allow established and aspiring developers the chance to work with more than 1,000 Apple technicians. The collaboration will teach techies the ins-and-outs of the operating systems, as well as some inside knowledge about how to improve their offerings in the Mac, iPhone and iPad App Store.
“The App Store ignited an app ecosystem that is simply amazing, forever changing the lives of customers and creating millions of jobs worldwide,†Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said in a release. “We’ve got incredible new technologies for iOS and OS X to share with developers at WWDC and around the world, and can’t wait to see the next generation of apps they create.â€
It is speculated that Apple will also introduce a new version of Apple TV and a new version of the Beats music service, according to 9to5Mac.
Developers interested in attending WWDC can apply for tickets through Fri., April 17, with notifications being sent out on Mon., April 20 as to whether or not they were selected in the lottery drawing.
According to The Verge, the cost of the conference registration is about $1,600, but Apple noted in its release that up to 350Â WWDC Scholarships were available for students and members of participating STEM organizations.
Even if you aren’t chosen or otherwise can’t make it, select WWDC sessions will be live streamed throughout the week, according to Apple, which also says videos from all technical sessions will also be available by the end of each day.
