The Atlanta Tribune Celebrates 30 Years of Publishing

Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine will commence a yearlong 30th anniversary celebration with a luncheon on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the 755 Club at Turner Field.

A VIP reception will kick off the event at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon from 12 to 2 p.m.

The Atlanta Tribune is the leading source for the business lifestyle, careers and wealth building. It provides relevant, thought-provoking news and information to its readers in order to educate and present ideas, viewpoints and possible solutions that economically, politically, and socially empower them.

The 30th anniversary celebration, which is sponsored by Publix, Aflac, Macy’s, Kaiser Permanente, Lockheed Martin, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Georgia Power, Grady, Atlanta Tech, Atlanta Hawks, and Coca-Cola, will feature a “Then and Now” panel discussion among Ambassador Andrew Young, Monica Pearson, Nzinga Shaw, and Dikembe Mutombo that will highlight Atlanta Tribune‘s historic role in tracing the contours of Atlanta’s black business development for the last three decades.

“We are proud of our ability to evolve from a newspaper focused on disseminating news for the African American community and perspective to a strategically focused regional business lifestyle magazine over the last 30 years,” says Pat Lottier, publisher.

“I believe we’ve been able to thrive because we decided to pick our own special niche and have remained true to our desire to provide the news to an audience of executives and decision makers and, most importantly, insert their stories into Atlanta’s rich narrative. We have always understood that we can’t be everything to everybody, and, in turn, have found an engaged audience and a thriving city that has embraced our mission and our coverage–30 years strong,” she continued.
