21. First Tuskegee Bank


Founded in 1894, First Tuskegee Bank is the country’s oldest black-owned savings and loan institution. The bank operated its first office out of a classroom on the campus of the historically black college Tuskegee University.

More than 115 years later, the legendary bank has assets in excess of $78.3 million. The firm specializes in commercial banking, public finance, and investment services.
