[HIGHLIGHTS] National Black MBA Conference and Expo


The National Black MBA Association Inc. is presenting its (NBMBAA) 36th Annual Conference and Exposition in Atlanta for the rest of this week, and the excitement, networking and learning continues for thousands of professionals, entrepreneurs, scholars and CEOs.

Top highlights for today, Sept. 17 included the NBMBAA Career Success Network Center, sponsored by Cox Communications, where attendees could get executive and career coaching, interview prep and resume refresh consultations; numerous recruiter booths from various companies across a variety of industries; the Entrepreneurial Institute, sponsored by Marriott International and FedEx, where entrepreneurs can get insights on how to grow their business with Google, leverage competition, crowdfunding and more; the Leadership Institute, sponsored by Marriott International and FedEx, the “Innovation Whiteboard Challenge” where participants got the chance to sell their business idea to a mixed panel of venture capitalists, academic instructors and successful entrepreneurs including Black Enterprise SVP and Chief Content Officer Alfred Edmond Jr. and Shark Tank’s Rodney Green; and the Institute Plenary/Closing Session featuring guest Robin Roberts, a lauded journalist and author. The day will end with a fun welcome reception, sponsored by The Coca-Cola Co., where attendees can rep their alma maters and an extravaganza featuring music performances, sponsored by UnitedHealthCare, Delta Airlines, Georgia Power, Georgia Pacific, Suntrust, CIA, and Coca-Cola.
