On Nov. 12, ColorComm, a leading professional organization created specifically for women of color, held an intimate dinner and dialogue with Tricia Clarke-Stone, CEO and co-founder of Narrative_, an entertainment and tech collaborative, at The Cecil in Harlem, New York. Throughout the night, Clarke-Stone talked about her career journey, successes and challenges to inspire professionals. She detailed how she negotiated her first million-dollar deal in product development and technology.

Tricia Clarke-Stone’s persistence and work ethic ultimately captured the attention of Russell Simmonswho became her business partner down the road. She emphasized the importance of maintaining and work-life balance, along with other tips for aspiring entrepreneurs.

She closed the evening on a positive note, reflecting on her past and spoke on how important it is to not be afraid in order to grow. “We all make bad decisions. The key is how fast you recover from them.”
