Day 2: Afternoon Sessions Filled with Style, Leadership and Leisure at Women of Power Summit

The afternoon of day two of the Women of Power Summit kicked off with financial guru Mellody Hobson sharing intimate details of her life with Black Enterprise’s Caroline Clarke. Full of tips on being unapologetically black, the power luncheon opened up the rest of the day’s power sessions.

For the fashion lovers, Wal-Mart hosted the “Style Suite,” showcasing today’s up-and-coming female beauty entrepreneurs, stylists and nail techs dedicated to upgrading executive style. And for a second day, the popular “Wine and Design” affair included local artists helping Women of Power attendees design masterpieces with a glass of wine to highlight the moment.

ADP is set to host a session called “Leverage Your Power” panel. Featuring Chief Evangelist Paul Allen of Strengths Finder (powered by Gallup) and co-founder of Ancestry.com, the session discussed finding one’s strength and harnessing power. Continuing the theme of manifesting strength, Lisa Nichols returns to motivate the masses in a Vision Board training session dedicated to visualizing and attracting what we want into our lives by creating a poster board of goals.

The final session of the day will be the emotionally intense, “Enough is Enough.” With experts including psychiatrist Dr. Janet Taylor, anesthesiologist Dr. Brenna Lindsay, life coach, actress, author Madeline McCray, and moderated by author Terrie Williams, this panel is focused on moving from pain to power.
