Nowadays, beyond exploring nature and the outdoors camps offer several hands-on exploration camps in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). And with summer season quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to enroll your kids in summer camp. Here are a few STEM camps across the nation to consider.

The Liberty Science Center provides several hands-on exploration camps which provide kids with the opportunity to gain access to cool science visualization tools in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), and the chance to make connections between STEM knowledge and real world applications.

Over 100 universities nationwide provide STEM camps for aspiring programmers, app developers, video game designers, robotics engineers, 3D modelers & animators, filmmakers, photographers, and more. With just 8 students per instructor, students can learn how to how to code, discover game design, develop a website and more. They also offer Alexa, an all girls program for ages 10-15.

Discovery Education, a program to accelerate student achievement, has teamed up with US2020 connect the dots between the classroom and the real world.  US2020 is an organization with the mission of matching 1 million STEM mentors with students at youth-serving nonprofits by the year 2020. The combined partnership helps students explore STEM related career opportunities by connecting them with STEM professionals in broadcast engineering, information technology, and broadcast operations.
