ESPN’s Stephanie Grant Talks MEAC-SWAC Challenge with The Shadow League
TSL Sports Talk host, Mark Gray, discusses with ESPN’s senior manager of events, Stephanie Grant, about ESPN’s efforts to make the halftime show part of the broadcast and how that is significant. She joined us to talk about the 10th anniversary of the “MEAC-SWAC Challenge Presented by Disney” that took place over the Labor Day weekend.
Green, who is a 16-year veteran at ESPN, has managed the event for the last four years, and is responsible for dozens more at the company.
“You cannot have Black College football without the band. So, when we first started this concept, we knew that it was something that we definitely wanted to incorporate,” Green told The Shadow League.
